Legal notice, privacy and data protection for the Orendy app on iOS
At Orendy, your privacy is as important as your learning. This policy explains how the app protects your data, complies with GDPR, App Store rules and international laws, while giving you full control.
1. Data collected
Orendy does not collect any personally identifiable data by default. No account, no tracking, no automatic signup. The data you create (cards, folders, progress) is stored only on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your encrypted Apple iCloud account.
2. iCloud synchronization
If you enable iCloud, your data is stored in your personal account, encrypted and managed by Apple. Orendy has no access to this data and you can disable synchronization at any time.
3. Built-in contact form
Using the form is optional. No mandatory fields require personal information. Messages are transmitted via a secure server in Switzerland, without storing metadata.
4. User rights (GDPR and equivalents)
You have rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability and objection. As no data is collected by default, these rights apply only to information voluntarily shared (contact form).
5. California rights (CCPA)
California users have rights under the CCPA: deletion of voluntarily shared information, refusal of any sale or sharing of data (no data is ever sold).
6. Data security
Local data is protected by your device’s security (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode). iCloud data is encrypted and secured by Apple. No transfers to uncontrolled third-party servers.
6bis. Cookies and similar technologies
Orendy does not use cookies, trackers or similar technologies in the app. All data stays on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud.
7. Data retention
Local data exists as long as the app is installed. iCloud data persists as long as synchronization is active. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed for processing.
8. Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent (contact form), contract execution (card storage/sync) and compliance with legal obligations.
9. International transfers
iCloud data may be transferred by Apple according to its privacy policy. Orendy makes no direct transfers to third countries.
10. Complaints
If you have concerns, contact us at orendy@proxipage.net or file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children
Orendy is not intended for children under 13. No data from children is knowingly collected.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated to remain compliant with laws and best practices. Any major change will be announced in the app.

We use HTTPS to secure all communication. The site is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, Switzerland.
6. Data retention
Analytics cookies are stored for a maximum of 14 months.
Messages sent via the contact form are deleted within a reasonable time after processing, no later than 12 months.
